Our HHD brochure AND service schedule will be online later this summer. The Temple of Israel invites our Jewish brothers & sisters from the Upstate Jewish community to join us for services for the High Holy Days. Admission is free.  Donations are welcome. For more information, read our High Holy Days brochure (coming soon).  If you'll be a guest at our services, please RSVP before each holiday to the Temple office during office hours at 864.292.1782. 
 ***On Yom Kippur Day, from 1:30pm - 3:30pm, discussions will be held in the Temple library & Family Life Center only. The sanctuary will remain a quiet place for personal meditation.

Food pantry - this year we're requesting donations of (TBA) only. These items can be left in the Temple foyer during the High Holy Days. Please do not bring any other food item. We thank you!

High Holy Days are a time for reflection, introspection, prayer, and reconnection. 


Featured Cellist for Erev Yom Kippur

christopherhuttonA native of New Zealand and a graduate of Boston University and the University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music, Dr. Christopher Hutton is an accomplished cellist who has performed across the globe and worked with a number of orchestras, including the New World Symphony and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. Before joining the Furman University faculty in 2003, Dr. Hutton taught at the University of Rochester, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and the University of Delaware.  He is the cellist for the Greenville-based Poinsett Piano Trio, a group that has performed as part of the Temple's Music on Sunday concert series.
